Leading a Team of TSPs to grow Tools share and adoption. Providing a solution vision and leadership for customers and partners of Microsoft’s technology roadmap and the impact on the market, customers and partners

Coaching the team to engage at deep technical levels within assigned Developer Tool opportunities and being able to translate how collaborative developer technologies solve business problems (e.g., productivity gains and effectiveness)

Leading the TSP Team in Liaising directly with the SSP Developer Tools, SSP/TSP App Plat in identifying most strategic deals, including and not limited to, competitive accounts, limited traction accounts, or up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.

Contributing to the recruitment, engagement and readiness of partners able to grow tools share and adoption. Developing partner enablement and readiness for assigned Developer Tool opportunities.

Providing Leadership to attract new customers and win against the competition. Identify development environment compete gaps within targeted supporting the TSPs in creating a plan to address opportunities and win against competition.

Candidate Profile
Experience: 10+ years of related experience
Supervisory/Management experience is preferable but not mandatory. Strong Technical background preferably in the ALM field is required

Professional Training and Certification:
TSP Manager – Developer Tools have a current technical background in both Microsoft and competitive platform and tools technologies (.NET, Visual Studio 2010, MSDN, Silverlight and Expression).
Professional training/certification in:
MCSD is beneficial, An MCTS certification or MC-DBA is nice-to-have
Competitor Certifications
Communication skills, with a particular focus on adjusting the topic and technical sophistication to the audience
Business skills, similar to the Executive Conversation training
Sales and/or Opportunity Management type training

Technology Skills
Subject Matter Expertise:
200 to 300 Level knowledge and experience with multiple development projects

Roles and Responsibilities:
Site Up is our core imperative. This position provides emergency network incident response and remediation which is a key requirement for highly reliable Online Services.
A successful Live Site Emergency Response engineer will quickly analyze, triage, and mitigate network incidents putting software services at risk for down time.

Core responsibilities of this job will include:
Rapidly engaging escalations from Tier 1 and Tier 2 networking support teams
Investigating and diagnosing network issues leading to risk of and actual degradation of Online Services
Partnering and following up with other Services Live Site operations teams as needed to resolve networking incidents and their impact.
Creating and maintaining operational documentation such as TSGs, Standard Operating Procedures, and any needed post incident review details.
The majority of network incidents involve partnering with Service Operations Teams across Microsoft. As such the Live Site Emergency Response team is not only a technical interface into the business but also our most frequent opportunity to collaborate on the online services that touch the lives of people all over the world.

Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate must be able to troubleshoot and triage networking incidents ranging from physical layer issues up to load balancing problems at layer 4 in the networking stack. The person in this role must have a strong working knowledge of layer 2 protocols such as spanning tree, layer 3 networking with IP, layer 4 session troubleshooting over TCP, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, server load balancing, and network filtering troubleshooting via access control lists and firewall policies. These skills must be applied across a variety of networking platforms including but not limited to Cisco, Juniper, Foundry, F5, Citrix, and Brocade. In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate must be highly effective in written and oral communications with a set of partners located around the globe. Global Networking Services provides connectivity to a very large number of online services requiring the successful candidate to be a strong collaborator, attentive listener, calm under pressure, and earn confidence from others. Experience Required:
Accomplishments must include 5 years of network operations experience in an online services or internet service provider environment. This time must include troubleshooting routing, switching, and load balancing in a complex networking environment. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (7 years) experience is needed for this role. CCNA or CCNP certification required. As a service provider to the Federal government, this job requires verification of US citizenship, background check, finger printing, and security clearance. CCIE or JNCIE certification a big plus. Thorough experience performing packet capture analysis is highly desirable.

The primary job responsibility of the Senior Software Development Engineer will be to help build the IT solutions in support of Xbox 360, Kinect, Surface and other forthcoming hardware products from the Microsoft. 6+ years experience with Microsoft development tools and technologies (Visual Studio, .Net, C#).
Experience with agile software development methodologies
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills required.
Sound analysis, problem resolution, team building, judgment and decision making skills required.
Display high degree of Confidence and ability drive clarity into ambiguous situations
Thorough understanding of design principles and design patterns.
