Faculty, Instructor, Apprenticeship Training Personnel job offer at Cochin Shipyard Limited

Post Name: Faculty (Marine Chief Engineer) on contract basis 2 posts (1 UR. 1 OBC)
Educational Qualification:

• Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Naval Architecture Engineering or equivalent.
• Should hold Certificate of Competency (issued or recognized by Government of India), as Master-Near Coastal Voyage (NCV)or Chief Mate Foreign Going (FG) or Chief Engineer NCV (MEO Class III) or Marine Engineer officer(MEO Class II)

Experience:
Essential: Working/ Sailing Experience as Chief Engineer on Indian/ Foreign going ships for at least 3 years.
Desirable:

• Candidates who have teaching experience in DGS-approved Institutes.
• Done a course on Training for Trainers and Assessors (TOTA)” conducted by DGS approved Institutes.

Age: Not to exceed 70 years.

Post Name: Instructor (Marine Engineering) on contract basis 2 posts (UR)
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education or equivalent.
Experience:
Essential: Working/ Sailing Experience onboard Indian/ Foreign going ships for at least 5 years OR Ex-Indian Navy/ Coast Guard personnel with a minimum of 10 years of experience, which includes at least six years of sailing experience onboard Naval/ Coast Guard ships. Desirable:- a) Persons who have experience in Industrial / Marine training in establishments. b) Done a course on Training for Trainers and Instructors (TOTI)” conducted by DGS approved Institutes.
Age: Not to exceed 65 years.

Post Name: Officer-in-Charge of Apprenticeship Training on contract basis –  1 post (UR)
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education or equivalent.
Experience:
Essential: Experience as Inspector of Training/ Principal Class -I/ Vice-Principal or Principal Class II/Training Officer/ Trade Test Officer/ Group Instructor/ Junior Apprenticeship Advisor in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). Desirable:- a) Persons who have experience in dealing with matters relating to Apprenticeship training. b) Knowledge of working in a computerized environment.
Age: Not to exceed 65 years.

Period of Contract: Three years, extendable for a further period of two years subject to organizational requirements and individual performance.

Eligible candidates may attend a Walk-In-selection at Training Institute.
