Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS)
Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is a tertiary care center in South India and part of the deemed University “Amrita Vishwa Vidhyapeetham“. The well known cardiac center at AIMS does about 1700 cardiac surgery every year. This includes a full fledged adult cardiac program including GABGs, valve replacements and repairs, major aortic surgeries and thoracic procedures. The pediatric program does about 700 complex procedures every year. This is one of the few centers which is doing Norwood procedures in the country. It is a matter of pride that the cardiac intensive care unit is primarily under the care of the cardiac anaesthesia team. Training in the institute includes exposure to all varieties of complex procedures, an intense teaching program and semi-independent management of all cardiac procedures. A number of teaching and training programs are also involved in the department, including PDCC in cardiac anaesthesia, FNB in cardiac anaesthesia and soon, a DM in cardiac anaesthesia.

under auspices of Indian Association of Cardiovascular Thoracic Anaesthesiologists (2 year / 4 seats)
* Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Anaesthesia

  • Cardiac Anaesthesia (1 year / 2 seats)
  • Neuro Anaesthesia (1 year /1 seat)
  • Hepatobiliary and Solid Organ Transplant (1 year /1 seat)
